Tournament round-up
With this season’s tournaments now behind us, here’s a round-up of who did what:
Well done to Annie Wilkins for winning the first Lower Divisions Handicap event back in September. Annie beat Mark Bourgaize 2-1 in this new season opener tournament at the Ex-Service Club.
The Scotch Doubles followed in November, and congratulations go to new players on the snooker scene, Greg Zimmerman and Sean Jones, who beat teammates Tom Bowring and David Mac Nab 2-0 at the Gremlin Club.
The GRG Masters trophy has a new name on it this season, with John Skillett inflicting a second consecutive 5-1 final defeat for Seb Priaulx at the Ex-Service Club.
Back at the Gremlin Club, the ever popular Aquacovers Snooker Shootout was won by Danny Marquand as he beat Clayton Le Noury in the final.
Finally, John Skillett added to his Masters trophy by also winning the Paul Rouguet Snooker Open at the North Social Club. Colin Gilbert was on the receiving ending this time, losing 3-0.
